Speed Limiter

Delight Software, company founded back in 2001 in Switzerland, came up with the Speed Limiter tool for all the people out there who need a simple utility that will simulate slow internet connections. The application lets you specify a connection type and it will show you how much it will take to load a specific website using that connection type.

The Speed Limiter installation file is 6.4MB in size. The setup wizard that shows up when you run said file asks you to pick between a Full Installation and a User Defined Installation (which includes Online Update for Delight Software products and the Speed Limiter final release). The setup wizard will also ask you to select the installation directory and choose if you want a Speed Limiter shortcut on your desktop.

Speed Limiter’s interface presents the 3 steps you need to go through to take advantage of the functionality this application has to offer: Speed to Simulate, Host of Website, Launch default web browser or Activate. As mentioned above, you have to go through three simple steps to use the Speed Limiter application. Step 1 is to choose the Speed to Simulate; form a dropdown menu you can pick from Serial 75bps, Modem 56K, Broadband 256kb/s, and many more. Step 2 is to select a Host or Website; type in the URL address of any website you want. Step 3 is to launch your default web browser and visit the website you chose during step 2. By default, the Activate option will be turned on when you launch your browser.
